Peak to Powder Keg is on today!
This multisport event requires the Ohakune Mountain Road to close to uphill traffic from 4pm and downhill traffic from 4:30pm for around 1.5 - 2 hours.
The road will reopen to downhill traffic once all competitors have reached Ohakune, approximately 6–6:30pm.
Please plan your travel accordingly.
We have passing cloud over the mountain this morning, which is forecast to clear around 9am. We’ve had a nice little refresh overnight, with 2cm of fresh snow at the base and 5cm on the upper mountain!
Temperatures are -2°C at the top of the Noon, -2°C at the Giant and 0°C at the base, with a light NNW wind.
All lifts are now Open.
The cold temperatures this week have given us some of the best grooming conditions of the season!
