FAQs

Check out our most frequently asked questions

What level am I?
  • First Timer: You’ve never been on skis or a snowboard before. You’ll be focusing on the basics, and finding your feet. A first timer's package is recommended.
  • Beginner: You can stop on skis or a snowboard and are ready to work on side-slipping or turning in the Beginner area. You’ll build confidence and skills as you aim to progress to green runs.
  • Learner: You can control your speed and turn both ways on green runs.
  • Intermediate: You’re comfortable skiing or snowboarding on green and blue runs. You’re refining your parallel turns or edge control and are eager to explore different snow conditions and terrain.
  • Advanced: You’re ready to take your skills to the next level. You confidently ski or snowboard all over the mountain, explore off-piste terrain, and are interested in refining these skills or hitting the terrain park.
What's the best option for first timers?

Our First Timers Package is the best option for your first visit. It includes everything you need to get started including your ski or snowboard rental equipment. There are 1 and 2 day options to fit your trip. Helmets and waterproof clothing can easily be added if you need these when you arrive. Helmets are included in kids First Timers Packages.

Can I do a first timers lesson with my kids?

If you want kids and adults in the same lesson, you'll need to book a private lesson. Since kids and adults learn at different speeds and in different ways, we recommend our First Timers packages, where lessons are split by age for the best start..

What is the minimum and maximum age for kids to join a group lesson?

Kids can start learning to ski in a group lesson at 4 years old and snowboard at 7 years old. Children younger than this can join private lessons.
The maximum age for kids in group lessons is 12, 13 years+ should join an adult lesson.

Kids lunch details

Kids lunch is an extra add on to kids groups lessons. Lunch runs from 12pm - 12.45pm and can be added on to any full or half day kids group lesson. The price includes lunch & supervision. This is seperate to the lesson or package price.

Where is the lesson meeting point?

All lessons meet at the Snow School office at the base area. This is clearly marked with flags and is on the right hand side when you come up the stairs from the car park.

When should I book my lesson?

We recommend booking at least a week in advance to secure your preferred date and time. Weekends especially tend to sell out for private and kids group lessons. If we have any available spaces, you can book at Guest Services on the day.

How many people can be in a private lesson?

The price includes two people and you can add extra people (up to three for a total of five per group) per lesson for $ coming soon per person. Everyone in the group needs to be of similar ability and able to ski/ride on similar terrain.

What do I need for a private lesson?

Private lessons include 1:1 instructor for the duration of the lesson. You will need equipment (skis, boots & poles or snowboard boots) and a lift pass to take part. The price includes two people and you can add up to three extra people into your private lesson from $TBC each, so long as they're at a similar ability level to you.
