You can catch the Auckland to Wellington train to Ohakune Railway Station on Saturday, Monday, and Thursday. Trains from Wellington to Ohakune depart on Friday, Sunday, and Wednesday. InterCity operate a daily bus service from Auckland to Ohakune.
