First Timer: You’ve never been on skis or a snowboard before. You’ll be focusing on the basics, and finding your feet. A first timer's package is recommended.
Beginner: You can stop on skis or a snowboard and are ready to work on side-slipping or turning in the Beginner area. You’ll build confidence and skills as you aim to progress to green runs.
Learner: You can control your speed and turn both ways on green runs.
Intermediate: You’re comfortable skiing or snowboarding on green and blue runs. You’re refining your parallel turns or edge control and are eager to explore different snow conditions and terrain.
Advanced: You’re ready to take your skills to the next level. You confidently ski or snowboard all over the mountain, explore off-piste terrain, and are interested in refining these skills or hitting the terrain park.
Rentals can be purchased online and collected up the hill in rentals, beside guest services. If you need to drop off equipment in Ohakune, you can do this at our town store.
Single day tickets or packages can be used on any day of the season (subject to weekend/weekday) or exchanged for mountain credit if this doesn't suit. Come and see us at our town store or email us at info@pureturoa.nz. Multi day tickets will be refunded to mountain credit per the difference of days used (this only applies to days where the chairlifts are not operating). You will be contacted if you have lessons booked on a day that is closed.
