Mount Ruapehu is an active volcano, and Tūroa's location on its slopes adds a unique element to the winter experience. The landscape is truly one of a kind, making the off-trail terrain some of the best in the world. Wide-open slopes, challenging chutes, natural halfpipes, stunning volcanic terrain and unique geological features provide a picturesque backdrop for our ‘office’.
